August 4: Warm, humid Monday night leads to very hot Tuesday with afternoon storms

Some showers and storms could linger into early Monday evening over interior parts of South Florida. The night, generally, will feature partly cloudy skies for Miami-Dade and Broward counties and light, southeast winds. Plan for low temperatures around 80°F.

Tuesday starts on a mostly dry note with ample sunshine. Temperatures will make a run for the low 90s. Humidity will make it feel hotter. The heat index could peak at or a few degrees over 105°F. Take necessary precautions if outside for extended periods of time. Also, keep an eye to the sky as afternoon thunderstorms will develop.
