Yesterday reached 97° making it the hottest day of the year so far.

Today will not be as hot since there is a higher chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Some could contain frequent lightning, gusty winds, and brief heavy rainfall.

There will still be plenty of dry time, especially after sunset. Smoke from the ongoing Sawgrass fires will mainly affect Broward County. Air quality will be worse at night and in the morning. A similar setup is on the way for Friday.
