October 16: Maybe a stray sprinkle for South Florida’s east coast

Random sprinkle or stray shower aside, Thursday evening will not offer too much weather drama for South Florida.

In fact, the “feel of fall” lingers. Humidity levels remain tolerable as northeast winds stir.

Temperatures are expected to dip to the low 70s overnight across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

A spotty, east coast shower cannot be ruled out Friday, particularly in the morning. The afternoon will feature a sun/cloud mix and a northeast breeze, with winds sustained 10 to 15 mph, gusts to 25 mph.

Going to the beach? Rip current risk remains high.

Boaters should be aware of hazardous marine conditions as waters will be choppy.
