AVENTURA, Fla. – A massive new Italian marketplace is now open in Aventura Mall, offering food lovers a one-stop destination for authentic cuisine, cooking classes, wine tastings, and more.
Eataly is the brand’s first Florida location, and at 30,000 square feet, it’s far more than a typical grocery store.
“It’s part grocery store, part food hall, and part culinary experience,” Local 10’s Alexis Frazier said during a tour of the new space.
The Aventura location is a preview of what the global food hall chain has become known for — immersive Italian food culture served with flair and authenticity.
From pistachio spread to imported cherry tomato sauce, guests will find curated delicacies from Italy’s top producers.
“We know that there’s a lot of Italian knowledge about in Miami and we really I think a place where it makes really a culinary experience with a cultural experience,” said Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America.
Inside, guests can explore two sit-down restaurants, a curated wine shop featuring rare vintages, and a dozen quick-service counters. But food isn’t the only focus.
“In every location we have a cooking class,” added Brusò. “It’s a school, a cooking class, but also we do again, as I said before, event, cultural event. One day we do painting. One day we do book presentation.”
“Italy is really an entertainment where everything rotates around the amazing ingredient, amazing vendor,” Brusò said. “We select the top vendor in Italy we import here in North America and you can find a special truffle, special olive oil.”
The concept follows Eataly’s “Eat, Shop, Learn” philosophy, which blends gastronomy with education and entertainment.
“There’s this approach I would say also where people can spend time and they’re looking for experiences,” Brusò added.
To celebrate the grand opening, Eataly is hosting 10 days of free public events — but for many, the highlight will always be the food.
