The tallies are in and many of South Florida’s favorite grocery stores have earned top marks, when it comes to nationwide favorites.
According to USA Today, Publix holds the number seven spot for favorite grocery chain. With almost 1,300 stores across seven states, the employee owned store, founded in Winter Haven, may have won critics over with its popular “Pub Sub” or was it those chocolate chip cookies from its bakery?

Discount grocer Aldi earned the number five spot for favorite grocery store. The chain now has more than 2,000 stores in the U.S. after providing savings for years on groceries for people living in Europe. Just remember to bring your own shopping bags!
The number one spot on the list offers up gourmet dishes for every holiday, along with a refined sound track of classical music playing as you choose that perfect avocado. The Fresh Market, with several locations in South Florida earned the most votes for the best supermarket category.
