EL PORTAL, Fla. – A 4-year-old girl died Friday morning after she was pulled from a pool in El Portal, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

According to MDSO, the agency’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation from the El Portal Police Department.
Deputies said the young girl was found floating in the pool of a home in the 100 block of Northwest 90th Street.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
No other details were immediately released.
