The United States of America turned 249 on Friday, and there are plenty of celebrations happening across South Florida to celebrate the Fourth, despite the forecasted rainy weather.
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
- Miami: Bayfront Park’s 4th of July Celebration returns this year with fun-for-all-ages entertainment.
- Aventura: 4th On The Green Fireworks Extravaganza: JW Marriott Miami Turnberry is proud to host the city of Aventura’s annual fireworks display. Join us for an incredible day and evening filled with extraordinary moments at every turn.
- Town of Miami Lakes is hosting a 4th of July Celebration with live entertainment, food and drinks at Veteran’s Park at 15151 NW 82nd Ave from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Coral Gables: Free fireworks celebration at the Biltmore Hotel at 1200 Anastasia Avenue from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Coconut Grove: 4th of July Celebration will take place at Peacock Park at 2820 McFarlane Road is free and open to the public. The Red, White and Grove concert has been postponed due to weather conditions. The fireworks show begins at 9 p.m.
- Homestead: Homestead’s Race to the 4th at the Homestead-Miami Speedway will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at One Ralph Sanchez Speedway Parkway admission and parking are free and the event is open to the public.
- Miami Beach- 4th of July Celebrations on North Beach at Altos del Mar Park, 76 Street and Collins Avenue from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and South Beach at Lummus Park on 12th St and Ocean Drive from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
BROWARD COUNTY
- Pompano Beach: The annual July 4th Fireworks Spectacular is a free event happening from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Fisher Family Pier
- Hollywood Beach: 4th of July Star-Spangled Spectacular Celebration on Hollywood Beach will feature entertainment beginning at 5:00 p.m., and a fireworks display beginning at 9:00 p.m.
- Plantation: Independence Day Celebration is a free event happening from 9 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It begins with the parade at 9 a.m., which starts at Broward Boulevard and Northwest 46th Avenue and ends at City Hall. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.
- Fort Lauderdale: The 4th of July Spectacular is a free event being held from noon to 9:15 p.m. The event will be spread across three spaces on the beach, from the beach south of Las Olas Boulevard, Las Olas Oceanside Park (The LOOP) and Fort Lauderdale beach.
- Lauderhill: Fireworks for attendees at Broward County Stadium at the end of doubleheader Major League Cricket matches between the San Francisco Unicorns vs. Texas Super Kings and the Washington Freedom vs. Seattle Orcas. The matches start at 3PM. Tickets are only available online at tickets.majorleaguecricket.com.
- Davie: Fun on the 4th will take place at the Bamford Sports Complex at 3801 S. Pine Island Road from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pre-registration and proof of Davie residency is required. Click here to register.
- Coconut Creek: (Thursday, July 3) Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, at 5550 NW 40th St., will hold their annual Independence Celebration and a drone fireworks show. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 10 p.m.
- Lauderdale-By-The-Sea: Fourth of July Parade and Family Fun Day on from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.
The City of Pembroke Pines has canceled its annual Fourth of July festivities.
According to a media release, the city will also cancel the fireworks display originally scheduled at the Pines Recreation Center at 7401 Pines Boulevard due to weather.
