Fourth of July celebrations light up cloudy skies in South Florida

Fourth of July celebrations defied a cloudy day and the threat of rain on Friday in South Florida.

Miami hosted the Bayfront Park’s 4th of July Celebration and nearby at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove.

The Village of Key Biscayne hosted the annual parade along Crandon Boulevard.

Aventura held the 4th On The Green Fireworks Extravaganza at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry and Coral Gables had fireworks at the Biltmore Hotel.

Miami Beach hosted two celebrations at the Altos del Mar Park and Lummus Park.

In Broward County, Fort Lauderdale hosted the 4th of July Spectacular from south of Las Olas Boulevard to Las Olas Oceanside Park and the beach.

The U.S. flag adorned the Guitar Hotel at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino during a fireworks show in Hollywood. The Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek had a drone and fireworks show.

Pompano Beach hosted a celebration at the Fisher Family Pier, and there were parades at Plantation and at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.
