BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The Primary Election in Florida was held on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
In addition to selecting a candidate from each party for the U.S. Senate race, Broward County voters selected their choice for U.S. and state congressional races for several districts, as well as selected their Democratic nominee for Broward sheriff -- incumbent Sheriff Gregory Tony.
The winners of those races will face off with their opponents in the General Election in November.
There were also multiple Broward School Board seats that were decided in Tuesday’s election.
