July 27: Sizzling end to July with dry heat, cooler along the coast

It’s the final Sunday of July but it feels like the “Dog Days” of August are already here! High pressure still covers the area with dry, dusty conditions limiting our rain chances to zero through the remainder of the weekend.

While our high temperatures will remain well below record levels it’ll still be in the lower 90s so limit your outdoor activities to the earlier, or later portions of the day. A nice beach breeze will keep it cooler along the immediate coast so that’s the place to be! As this high pressure moves away it’ll allow an increase in moisture to return this week so look for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to return to the forecast heading into the new week. In the tropics, things are still expected to remain quiet through the next 7 days with a bit of an uptick in activity after that- stay tuned!
