July 25: Hot, humid weather continues with a better chance for afternoon storms
The summer sizzle continues, but we’re throwing some extra thunderstorms into the mix, especially later on Saturday afternoon. Stay cool, and stay aware of lightning and heavy downpours nearby, particularly between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
It’ll be a typical summertime forecast for South Florida, but the rain and storm chances are a little lower than usual through today and the upcoming work week.

It’s a hot, hazy and humid forecast for South Florida this weekend. Scattered storms are likely, but most will develop around midday, arriving a little earlier than usual.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of Miami-Dade and Broward counties from 11 AM through 7 PM as the “feels like” temperatures will approach 105-110 degrees during that time.

July 11: Heat advisory in effect as Saharan dust brings hotter, drier weather
After receiving more than 2 inches of rain in some spots overnight, drier air is moving in thanks to another surge of Saharan dust. With a return to sunny, hot and humid weather, a heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. as the heat index, or “feels like” temperature, approaches 110 degrees.

The combination of an easterly flow and Saharan dust will limit the storm chances this weekend and whatever does form out there will be pushed way out west and away from us.
