August 30: Wet Sunday ahead

Keep the umbrellas handy, we’ve got another wet forecast for this final Sunday of August. Heading into the first week of September the rain stays in the forecast with several inches possible through the next seven days.

A disturbance over the Bahamas (non-tropical) will drift slowly across South Florida keeping our rain chances pretty high through midweek then the remnants of former Tropical Storm Dolly could close in on us keeping those rain chances high toward the end of the week. All in all, this rainy forecast is great news for our drought.
