Extreme Florida heat continues after cities like Tampa hit their hottest temperature ever recorded there (100°). We are not as hot because of a light breeze off the water. Typically we need a breeze from the Everglades to reach record heat in South Florida.
High temperatures will reach the low 90s with a heat index just over 100°. Expect an occasional shower or storm, but we are avoiding widespread showers and thunderstorms. This will be the pattern for the rest of the week.
