July 31: Heat tops 100 degrees in inland Broward as dry streak continues

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — It has been an extremely hot afternoon with parts of inland Broward County reaching higher than 100 degrees. That’s the actual temperature, not even counting the heat index. It was hotter today because the breeze off the water was lighter, if not stationary at times.

Rain chances remain low as we stay in a drier than normal weather pattern. This will last into the weekend with just an isolated inland storm possible each day. We will return to our normal rainy season pattern starting Monday with daily storms.
