Look for a pretty wet stretch of weather from today straight into the weekend as a slow moving disturbance just off the East Coast drifts to the west across SoFlo. While it won’t be raining all of the time, when it does it could rain hard from time to time, so keep the umbrellas handy and don’t be fooled if you find yourself in one of those sunny breaks. This system won’t clear out until early next week, so it’s a typical August forecast with scattered storms, warm and humid weather. This is why August is one of my least favorite months! At least there’s nothing tropical headed our way through the next 7 days, but that could change as well by later next week as long range models spin up a bit more activity in the Atlantic in about 7-10 days. Stay dry out there folks, and sorry about the wet weekend forecast.
