Sept. 24: Highs in 90s help fuel another round of showers, T-storms

High temperatures around 90 degrees will help fuel another round of showers and thunderstorms. They will be spotty with 50% coverage, so not everyone will get the rain. This will be the case throughout the rest of the week.

There are two tropical waves in the Atlantic. These are likely to become tropical storms. Humberto and Imelda are the next two names on the list. The first one near Puerto Rico is our focus since it could develop as it moves toward the Bahamas later this week.

It is too early to determine how close this could be to South Florida. If we were to get any impacts, it would be over the weekend into early next week. Monitor future updates as we pin down the forecast over the coming days.
