Sept. 25: Early start to thunderstorms Thursday

We will have an early start to the thunderstorms today with the first downpours developing between noon to 2 p.m. These scattered storms will be hit or miss through the afternoon. Some could contain frequent lightning and very heavy rain. Perhaps not as many storms tomorrow afternoon, but we will still keep some pop-ups in the afternoon.

All eyes are on a tropical wave near the Dominican Republic. We will monitor where the circulation develops tomorrow as it approaches the Bahamas and will have a better idea then about the eventual track. The most likely scenario right now is through the Bahamas, which would keep most of the impacts to our east, but it is too uncertain to know what impacts South Florida could feel.
