Oct. 11: Cold front brings cooler, drier air to South Florida

The season’s first cold front has cleared South Florida, bringing a stretch of pleasant weather through at least the middle of next week. Temperatures will remain warm, with highs in the mid-80s, but humidity levels will be lower. Overnight lows could dip into the upper 60s in the western suburbs over the next few nights.

That daily dose of scattered showers and storms has all but disappeared — a sign that the rainy season may be over. Another front could arrive late next week, bringing a slight increase in rain chances.

Things are quiet in the tropics, with no local threats expected through at least the next seven days.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
