Man dies after driver struck him on US1 in Miami-Dade

CONDADO DE MIAMI-DADE, Fla. — Un hombre murió la mañana del jueves luego de que un conductor lo atropellara en el extremo sur del condado de Miami-Dade, según la Patrulla de Carreteras de Florida (FHP por sus siglas en inglés).

El hombre caminaba alrededor de las 5:50 a. m. y cruzaba los carriles en dirección norte de la U.S. 1 cuando el conductor de un Hyundai negro lo atropelló, según la FHP.

El hombre murió cerca de la calle 291 del suroeste, según el teniente Alex Camacho, portavoz de la FHP.

Los investigadores cerraron los carriles en dirección norte de la U.S. 1 durante aproximadamente cuatro horas. La investigación seguía en curso antes del mediodía.
