KENDALL, Fla. – Miami Action Design is the first stunt gym in Miami-Dade County, and you can find it in Kendall.
They train all ages from as young as 5.
“We offer a lot of different curriculums and things you can do,” gym owner Yessina Cossio said. “You can train anything from wire work, to fight choreography, to falls, to wrecks … we want to be able to offer that to the community safely.”
The owners, Yessina and Chris, who are actors themselves, are known for training A-list actors and for blockbuster films like “Dune” and “Bad Boys.”
“We’ll have actors come in who’ve never had action experience and we need to train them up to make them look like they’re the most seasoned John Wick performer,” Chris Bogdanski said.
They also train people who aren’t actors and are beginners.
Some stunt doubles train for months for a role.
Day passes are $20 and monthly memberships are $100.
“Everyone loves a good action movie, so everyone kind of has a feeling for it, but when they come and get to experience it first-hand, you see people’s eyes open wide as can be,” Bogdanski said.
The owners say this is a way to also stay fit and, who knows, it could just open a new world for you in the entertainment field.
