1 dead, 1 hurt in Lauderhill shooting

LAUDERHILL, Fla. — One person was killed and another wounded in a shooting in Lauderhill Thursday night.

The shooting happened at around 9:50 p.m. in the 2000 block of Northwest 43rd Terrace, Lt. Antonio Gonzalez, a Lauderhill police spokesperson said.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, Gonzalez said. One of them was pronounced dead while the other was “stable,” he said.

Authorities haven’t publicly identified the victims and haven’t said whether they’ve identified or located any suspects.

Gonzalez said Lauderhill police detectives are investigating.
