Police officers investigate how toddler fell from 3rd-floor apartment in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — There was blood on the concrete near a stuffed animal after a child fell from a third-floor apartment on Friday in Hollywood.

There was an open window above where the child fell at Sunexus, at 2201 Polk St., and a neighbor said she had seen a boy playing on the balcony there earlier.

Police officers responded to a child injured at an apartment building on Friday in Hollywood.

Hollywood police officers and fire rescue personnel responded at about 3:15 p.m.

Fire rescue personnel took the child to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and police officers were investigating the case.
