FLORIDA CITY, Fla. – A brush fire continued to disrupt the traffic to and from Florida City and the Florida Keys on Friday night.
The fire has prompted intermittent closures of Card Sound Road and Overseas Highway’s 18-mile stretch.
The Florida Forest Service reported that 50% of the fire had been contained and asked drivers to expect heavy delays even without road closures.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel also responded to the fire.
