According to police, the shooting occurred at a Mobil gas station in the area of Flamingo Road and Taft Street.

Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated between two known individuals and no injuries were reported.

Authorities later identified 32-year-old Jose Rodriguez-Julio as the shooter.

According to police, Rodriguez-Julio and the victim, who was his landlord, agreed to meet at the gas station.

Police said as soon as the victim arrived, Rodriguez-Julio, who was already there, approached the victim’s vehicle armed with a gun.

The victim, in fear for his life, took out his own gun and fired several shots at Rodriguez-Julio, police said. Nobody was struck by any of the bullets, according to authorities.

Both Rodriguez-Julio and the victim were taken to the police station for questioning.

Rodriguez-Julio has since been arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He appeared in court Tuesday where he was granted a $20,000 bond.
