According to an arrest report from the Miami Police Department, the incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Monday at ARW Coin Laundry, located at 1453 NW 17th Ave., in the city’s Allapattah neighborhood.

Authorities said Marlloline Hernandez, 32, got into it with staff and “all customers in the laundromat” over her belief that someone had her clothes “moved from (one) washing machine to a different washing machine.”

The report states that after an employee took out a cellphone and showed her surveillance video showing her placing the clothes into the washing machine in question and that “no one had touched her property,” Hernandez “slapped the phone” out of the employee’s hand.

She then approached a customer and “accused him of being an accomplice to (whoever) had moved her laundry,” it states.

Police said the man ignored her and continued to put his laundry in a bag.

According to the report, Hernandez then “approached (him) and snatched the laundry bag away from (his) hand, grabbed a white article of clothing and slapped (him) in the face with (it).”

She then took the man’s clothes and sped away in a Nissan Altima, police said.

Police said an officer went to Hernandez’s home on Northwest 19th Street, “and asked her if she would (voluntarily) come and explain herself to the victim and witness and return the (victim’s) property.”

Authorities said she agreed.

“The victim and witness were expecting an explanation and apology,” police said, but Hernandez instead “denied slapping the (witness’s) phone and snatching the (victim’s) laundry bag and striking him with the clothing.”

Prior to that, police said she made an admission, which was redacted from the report.

Officers arrested Hernandez on a strong-armed robbery charge and took her to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where she was being held on a $2,500 bond.
