NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A 34-year-old man was arrested Sunday after he was captured on surveillance video removing several eggs belonging to an Egyptian goose and then throwing them to the ground, authorities said.

According to an arrest report from the North Miami Beach Police Department, a business owner in the area of 1960 NE 164th St. handed over the video to police Sunday morning.
Police said the suspect, Johnathon Muniz, of Miami Gardens, is seen in the video removing the eggs and then throwing about seven eggs to the ground.
He then left the area, authorities said.
According to the report, a photo of the suspect was disseminated to officers and a sergeant was able to identify the person in the photo as Muniz.
Police said two officers then spotted him in the area of Northeast 164th Street and 15th Avenue.
According to the report, Muniz provided a statement to detectives, however his statement was redacted from the publicly released report.
Muniz was arrested on charges of animal cruelty and trespassing at a property after a warning.
As of Monday afternoon, Muniz was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $9,000 bond.
