First responders rush 2-year-old to hospital after being pulled from Fort Lauderdale hotel pool

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Authorities in Broward County are investigating after a 2-year-old girl nearly drowned.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. at the Sheraton Suites hotel located on Cypress Creek Boulevard near I-95 in Fort Lauderdale.

According to police, someone called 911 after finding the girl and performing CPR.

It took first responders about four minutes to arrive, and once there, the young girl was already out of the water and receiving CPR.

Paramedics quickly took over before rushing the girl to Broward Health Medical Center.

Authorities have yet to provide an update on her health condition.
