“I tried for like 10 minutes to take a pitbull off my dog,” the apologetic man said.

According to MDSO Detective Samantha Choon, the gunman was reacting to his neighbor’s dog attacking his dog.

A neighbor said she saw a man going inside his apartment with food when his dog got out. She recorded a video of the attack that preceded the shooting in the hallway. The pitbull died.
