MDSO: Man shoots neighbor’s dog after it attacks his own pet

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an apartment building in northwest Miami-Dade Monday morning after a man shot his neighbor’s dog, authorities confirmed.

The shooting was reported around 11:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of Northwest 29th Avenue.

According to MDSO Detective Samantha Choon, deputies arrived at the scene and discovered that a man had shot his neighbor’s dog after witnessing it attacking his own dog.

That man told Local 10’s Rosh Lowe that the dog in question was a pitbull and he had no choice but to shoot it.

No other details were immediately released.
