MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A girl was strayed by a bullet early Wednesday morning while sleeping in her bed at an apartment complex in northwest Miami-Dade, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
According to deputies, the shooting was reported around 3:15 a.m. at a home in the area of Northwest 69th Avenue and 173rd Drive.
Deputies said the victim was grazed around her lower extremities.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel treated the girl at the scene.
MDSO Northwest General Investigations Unit (GIU) detectives have taken over the investigation.
No other details were immediately released.
