Police: Man shot in abdomen in Miami

MIAMI — Miami police are investigating a shooting that injured a man on Tuesday.

According to police, a man in his 20s was shot in the abdomen just before 5:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Southwest Sixth Street.

He was alert and conscious as Miami Fire Rescue transported him to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, police said.

No other details were immediately released.
