MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Police in Miami-Dade County are trying to locate a suspect wanted for sex crimes against a juvenile.
The incident happened at approximately 6:40 p.m. Friday in the area of Northeast 208th Street and 5th Place, where the gated Paseos community is located.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, a young girl was sleeping in her bedroom when she was awakened by strange movement on her bed.
The victim told police she found a person she did not know trying to remove her shorts, and she struck him in the groin and started screaming.
Police said the subject then took off through a bedroom window in an unknown direction.
He is described as a Black male between 15 and 19 years old, around 5-foot-11 or 6-feet tall with a thin build, last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, light-colored or gray pants and a white, full face ski mask.
