Police: Driver injured after crashing into light pole, building in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — A driver was injured on Thursday morning after crashing into a light pole and a building in Hollywood, police said.

According to the Hollywood Police Department, the driver lost control and crashed shortly before 3 a.m. at 1501 S. Federal Highway.

Fire rescue personnel helped to free the driver at the Curtis Inn and Suites. The driver was at Memorial Regional Hospital, police said.

“They took him there in an ambulance,” Jay Ghandi, the manager at the Curtis Inn, said.
