MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews rushed to the scene of a blaze inside an abandoned apartment complex.
It’s located along the 26300 block of Southwest 139th Avenue in Miami-Dade County.
According to authorities, dispatchers initially called it a first alarm fire, but as heavy smoke and flames spread, it was quickly upgraded to a defensive second alarm fire.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said there was no one inside of or around the building when they showed up.
As of Sunday morning, firefighters said they had the fire under control.
Investigators are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
