BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — Detectives asked the public for help with finding a woman accused of injuring a fellow passenger on a Broward County Transit Bus.
Surveillance video shows the woman “pushed her body into” the 70-year-old victim before the attack on Oct. 21, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies.
“The attacker then grabbed a grocery bag and struck her in the face with it,” Carey Codd, a BSO spokesman, wrote in a statement. “At that point, the victim used her cane to defend herself, and the attacker punched the victim multiple times in the head.”
The bus driver stopped the bus in the 4100 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes, and the attacker fled, according to BSO.
Detectives asked anyone with information about her identity and whereabouts to call Detective Andres Lopez at 954-321-4915 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. There is a $5,000 reward.
