NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — Workers were still cleaning up and making repairs on Thursday morning after a Brightline high-speed train collided with a car in Miami-Dade County.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to the collision on Wednesday near Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 140 Street in North Miami.
“I heard someone screaming ... I saw the guy in the car, he was still moving,” said Gabriel Torres, who was outside the Lexus of North Miami dealership at 14100 Biscayne Boulevard.
A woman who was riding the Brightline train during the crash said she didn’t feel the impact, but she heard the train’s horn and the noise of the collision.
Fire rescue personnel used a helicopter to take the man to the hospital.
