Child nearly drowns in Pembroke Pines, fire rescue reports

Near drowning Fire rescue personnel responded to a child's drowning on Sunday at a gated community in Pembroke Pines.

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — A child was at Memorial Hospital West after nearly drowning on Sunday at a gated community in Pembroke Pines, according to fire rescue personnel.

Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue personnel responded to a drowning near Southwest Seventh Street and 118 Avenue and found a child, who is 12 to 24 months old, unresponsive, according to Division Chief Jason Stepp.
