Video shows 'really big' alligator in Miami-Dade neighborhood

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Witnesses reported a large alligator was ambling across a front yard in Miami-Dade County’s Westchester neighborhood.

Armando Rodriguez said his son noticed the long reptile on surveillance video on Friday and described it in Spanish as “really big!”

Rodriguez called 911, andFlorida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers responded. The neighborhood has canals.

After the alligator rolled around a little, the officers managed to stabilize it and later taped its U-shaped snout before the removal.
