DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — A 39-year-old man appeared in court on Monday morning in Broward County after detectives accused him of a hit-and-run crash that injured a woman, records show.
Iran Dos Santos was the driver of a white Toyota Sienna involved in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday afternoon in Deerfield Beach, according to a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy’s arrest report.
Deputies and fire rescue personnel responded to the hit-and-run crash at about 5 p.m. near the 3800 block of Northwest Third Avenue, records show.
The driver of a gray Honda Accord that Dos Santos allegedly struck followed him and took a picture of his license plate, according to a BSO deputy’s arrest report.
Deputies arrested Dos Santos on Sunday, and he appeared in bond court on Monday.
Dos Santos faced three charges: Failure to stop and remain at the scene of an accident involving serious injury, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, and driving with a suspended license while involved in a crash with death or serious injury. His bond was $10,500.
