This weekend, a ridge of high pressure will park itself right over the Florida Peninsula, bringing in unusually dry air from the southeast. Lower moisture levels in the atmosphere will keep rain chances low at just 20 percent Saturday and Sunday.
With skies mostly clear and little rain to cool things off, high temperatures will climb into the low‑ to mid‑90s. Factoring in the humidity, “feels like” temperatures will reach as high as 103 to 108 degrees. Although heat‑index values will still crack triple digits, a steadier east breeze off the Atlantic may provide some relief from the hot weather.
Similar conditions are expected for the first part of next week. Rain chances are forecast to increase to 30 to 50 percent by Wednesday.
