Sept. 17: Rounds of heavy rainfall may lead to localized urban flooding

Grab the rain gear and be ready for a wet Wednesday. Additional rounds of heavy rainfall may lead to localized urban flooding, with the greatest threat for flooding across the east coast, metro coastal areas of South Florida. The threat of flooding will persist both during the daytime and overnight hours. Widespread rainfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible through Saturday morning with reasonable higher end amounts in the 3 to 4+ inches range. Locally, higher amounts remain possible. In the tropics, Tropical Depression 7 formed over the central Atlantic, but this system will not be a threat to Florida. Keep it tuned to Local 10 for more.
