Oct. 7: Passing showers and more saltwater flooding from King Tides

Hit or miss, passing showers will dampen parts of South Florida Tuesday night. Also, another round of King Tide flooding will affect vulnerable coastal areas.

The next high tide along the east coast occurs around 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This depends on the location. Moderate, saltwater flooding should be expected at low-lying roads and properties. Reminder: do not drive through flood waters.

Wednesday will bring a continuation of east-northeast winds, 10 to 15 mph, gusts to 20, along with a sun or cloud mix and occasional, here or there showers. Regarding temperatures, plan for lows in the upper 70s and highs in the upper 80s.

On another note: The peak of this week’s King Tides comes on Wednesday. Plan for a morning round of saltwater flooding at high tide around 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
