Dec. 18: Temperatures above average Thursday night and Friday

A stray shower is not completely out of the question for South Florida on Thursday night. A combination of noticeable humidity, lingering clouds and southeast to south winds will keep conditions warm and perhaps a bit uncomfortable for Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Overnight lows are expected to fall into the low 70s.

Friday will feature a mix of clouds and sun, along with west winds ahead of a cold front moving down the Florida Peninsula. A spotty shower or two could dampen parts of Broward, Miami-Dade or the Keys. Temperatures will make a run into the mid-80s. Miami could flirt with its record high for the date of 87 degrees.
