High pressure is in control across South Florida Wednesday morning, keeping conditions calm and mostly dry. Today, winds will stay light from the northeast to east as high temperatures top out in the lower 80s. Clear skies and light winds overnight will allow temperatures to cool into the upper 50s inland and mid 60s along the East Coast.

Looking ahead to Christmas Day, the quiet weather continues. Mainly clear skies are expected during the day with only a low chance of a stray shower. Expect a pleasant Christmas afternoon with highs in the low 80s across most of South Florida.
