Dec. 27: Cooler air to ring in the new year across South Florida

Get ready to ring in the new year with a round of cooler temperatures set to sweep across South Florida.

Before those cooler temperatures arrive, expect warm high temperatures again tomorrow under mostly sunny skies, thanks to a strong area of high pressure across the state. Look for a high near 81 degrees.

A cold front will bring a slight chance of showers Tuesday, with temperatures falling into the 50s by Wednesday morning. Highs will peak in the 70s to start the year.
