Dec. 29: Get ready for some of the coolest air of the season

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Get ready for some of the coolest air of the season so far to settle across South Florida.

This chill will be courtesy of a strong cold front that will swing across the state Tuesday morning.

As this front run into drier air, rain changes will be slim across our region. Nonetheless, the arctic air will be pronounced.

Highs Tuesday will reach the 70s. Models are trending significantly cooler. By Wednesday morning lows will be in the upper 40s. Highs will only reach the upper 60s.

By New Year’s Eve evening, temperatures will range in the 60s and 50s. We will get down the 46 degrees on New Year’s Day. Add the layers and stay warm!
