December 31: 2026 to start on a chilly note

The last night of 2025 ends with picture-perfect weather for South Florida, albeit chilly.

Miami-Dade and Broward counties can expect clear skies and light, northwest winds Wednesday night. Temperatures are forecast to drop from 50 degrees around midnight to the low and mid 40s overnight. The upper Keys can expect lows in the upper 40s while lows in the 50s are forecast for the middle and lower Keys.

The first day of 2026 will feature blue skies and ample sunshine as northwest winds stir. Temperatures will make a run for the upper 60s. Rain is not in the forecast!
