Jan. 11: Record warmth in Miami gives way to rain, cooler temperatures

Miami tied a record high of 84 degrees this afternoon. However, the warmth will not last. A cold front moving through the region will bring temperatures back to seasonal levels this week, along with rain.

Isolated showers are expected tonight into Monday morning as the front passes. As it stalls over the region from Monday through Wednesday, scattered rain chances will continue.

Another front is expected Thursday, increasing rain chances again and bringing a significant drop in temperatures by Friday morning. Low temperatures could fall into the mid-40s.
