January 14: Cold front to bring showers Thursday, big cooldown follows

The weather will be mostly dry for South Florida Wednesday evening. Miami-Dade and Broward counties can expect mostly to partly cloudy skies as temperatures dip to the 60s overnight.

Thursday will be a day of transition. Clouds increase during the morning with the possibility of rain showers as a cold front approaches and crosses the region. Temperatures are expected to peak in the low 70s.

Dry, cold air starts to arrive late-afternoon into evening as winds veer from southwest to northwest. Temperatures are forecast to plummet to the 40s by Friday morning.
