South Florida will enjoy its mildest evening so far this February. With few clouds in the area Thursday night, temperatures are forecast to drop to the mid and upper 50s across Miami-Dade and Broward counties overnight.
A cold front is on track to approach and sweep the region on Thursday. Clouds increase and showers will be possible, particularly between 10am and 2pm, as the front arrives. Also, a west to northwest breeze will build during the afternoon with winds becoming sustained 10 to 15 mph, gusts to 25 mph. Temperatures are likely to peak in the low 70s around the noon hour. Thereafter, chilly air spills over the region. Temperatures are expected to plummet to the low and mid 40s by Friday morning!
