Feb. 5: South Florida turns cold again

Yet again, South Florida is turning cold! As a brisk, northwest breeze (wind: 15 to 25 mph, gusts to 25) drives chilly air over Miami-Dade and Broward counties Thursday night, temperatures are forecast to drop to the low 40s Friday morning.

The upper Keys can expect lows in the mid and upper 40s, while the middle and lower Keys can expect low and mid 50s.

Friday will feature abundant sunshine and northwest winds, sustained around 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph. Temperatures are forecast to peak in the mid 60s; that is well below Miami’s average high for this time of year, 77°F.
